Another air bag recall update
I was a little hesitant on doing this based off another thread I read about a bad experience during the recall service. After reading through this thread and reading good experiences for the most part, I feel a little more at ease. Especially since I have no gauges (yet) or a viper alarm (yet). Just an aftermarket double din radio.
that's the dealer charge on the SSL seats. get yours stolen and find out the hard way, like I did when your insurance company is considering totaling your car.
I replaced them with real Recaro sports in black leather which have cushion extensions and adjustable lumber support for $1200.00 each. Of course, I had to get custom seat brackets made.

Can't imagine they have seen any stock EVO's come in.
Thankfully my car does not fall into this mess as I'd sooner remove the damn passenger airbag before finding a mitsubishi dealer, let alone having them actually perform the recall

As for the recall, I'm going tomorrow morning. The guy told me it'll take roughly 5 hours to complete.
airbag recall
Warning, if you take your car to Cerritos Mitsubishi be prepared to pay $125 if you have aftermarket gauges installed. They claim they charge this because they have to remove the gauges and reconnect them after they remove the dash to replace the airbag. This was for a boost gauge which every evo usually has in their car.
