Another air bag recall update
If I was you, knowing what I know now, I'd document EVERYTHING working right with a vid immediately before giving them the car.
Give you all an update, had it done about Firkins dealer here in Bradenton FL. Very nice guy as service advisor, dealt with him in the past with my old Jeep I had. Had it done in 4 hours, no issues, bs, etc. Had a nightmare experience before at Sarasota dealer trying to charge me for recall etc.
Of course it's never perfect, leaving dinner last night, no instrument panel lights etc, least headlights worked, something is wired wrong. Will be calling them tomorrow to drop it off and get fixed, kind of need to see how fast I'm going etc.

So this is the sound of the loose object, or quite simply the rattle created by the trip to the dealer. Is this something I can expect them to fix, along with the other issues they have created? (listed them in an earlier post).
It'll probably be necessary to argue that the noise may be a safety hazard, as something my be loose that hadnt been previosly. Any word or advice on how to make sure they fix their ****-ups would be greatly appreciated

So I dropped the car off this morning at the FoCO Mits. dealership, took one of the techs for a ride, and presented the new-found issues to ensure that he understood what was wrong and what needed to be fixed. I did not get the chance to speak with the service manager, as he was on a conference call of some kind. Before I left, they assured me that all the issues listed would be fixed, and they would call me if any other issues appeared.
I got a call around 2pm, from one of the customer service reps at the dealer stating that the dead pixels behind the speedometer were caused by some blown bulbs. He said that the bulbs would be in tomorrow and he would be happy install them once they arrive. He also admitted to me that they didn't put forth their best work the first time around, and would fix everything at no cost to me.
When I arrived at around 6:20 this evening, the service department had closed and was able to get my keys from some of the sales staff. I said a few kind words, took a few minutes to sit in one of the new evo's on the showroom floor, then headed out to take my car home.
When I got in the car, I first checked the HVAC controls to make sure they were mended. Check. That is where the pleasant story ends. The middle defrost vent in the center of the dashboard is now popping out of the dash, and looks like a four-year-old installed it (picture below). This did not really bother me, as the customer service rep assured me that the loose bit/rattle in the dash had been repaired. Afraid not. If anything, it got worse (video below).
I returned home to figure out what to do next. Should I just live with the rattle/damage the dealer did to my car, or take it back. With a few minutes to ponder, hopped in the car and took it back. Again, none of the service reps were there when I returned, so I parked the car in their lot and left the keys on the service desk where they were when picking the car up. Luckily for me, I live less that 1/4 of a mile from the dealer, so the walk home was short, with a pissed/uncertain feeling of whether or not the car would ever be the same.
With that short story finished, does anybody have a lick of advice on how to proceed from here? Would any of this bother anyone else?

I called the dealer this morning and they told me they could not fix the rattle, and they think it is caused by "body flex"? He also stated that he had the one of his techs try to resolve the issue for "6 hours yesterday" and put "over $1000 worth of time and parts" doing so. One of his other statements had to do with the amount of owners the car had and the fact that it had body damage (on the opposite side quarter panel of the rattle), I assume to brush off the mistakes of their service department onto me. I can honestly can say I have learned my lesson about having work done at dealerships, and will now be avoiding them like the plague from now on.
I also had called Mitsubishi North America, and have a case # regarding the issues that I have had with this particular dealer. Their rep. told me that the case manager would be giving me a call Monday morning, and hopefully help figure out a solution (although very unlikely).
I will be picking the car up tonight when I get off work, and unfortunately I won't be able to talk with anybody from the service department as they will be gone by the time I get there. I guess all I can hope for is a stroke of luck, or finding a local Evo specialist that can help find the loose bit for less than a small fortune

Finally got it done today at sport mitsubishi in Orlando after dreading it so much. Now i know why i had a bad feeling giving them my keys. My dash was in near perfect condition when it came in. I made sure to video everything beforehand as well as have a service advisor take a look at everything and note any scratches or anything that didnt work. I get it back afterward and there is now a huge scratch near the main gauge cluster that apparently was "unavoidable" when putting everything back together. The backlights for my volt meter and boost gauge no longer work either in addition to my MR gauges holder being cracked and bent. Also there were some minor scratches and my aftermarket gauges are now crooked. I brought this to the attention of the service advisor and he will bring it up with the service manager on Monday. Friggin takata.
I did have the foresight to put a sheet over my seats to protect them and when i got the car back there was a nasty stain on them. So at least theres that :/
