I've been looking for an Evo for a weeks weeks and just came across this ad on CL. It is priced pretty low and seems like it's not heavily modded. The ad says it had an engine rebuild not too lobg ago, and once it hits the 1000 mile mark with the rebuilt engine, it will need to be tuned and can have bigger injectors installed. I don't have too much knowledge on that type of thing so i decided to see if you guys could help me. Is there something off about this car? Should i look into it or stay away?

Seems sketchy. Though my favorite part of the ad "Buschur Racing douplepumper fuelpump. This fuelpump gives the car about 27 more WHP than the stock 273 WHP"

 

Go check it out. That's the only way to know for sure.

 

There are tons to chose from in Mass./NY area. I bought mine in RI about a month ago. I also checked out the 05 GG with the MAP 2.3 build, not a bad car especially for the price. Just look around, most for sale there are in good shape and decently prices with the exception of a few.

 

I would offer $8k, and might spend $10k, fully expecting to spend $10k on whatever the hell is wrong with it, and when that "built engine" blows up...
