Evo XI weighing on image: responsibility, practicality, maturity
It's a matter of detail. Your detail so far through 2 pages were useless.
I am not in the same position but my bosses are. They are both service reps and have to meet with clients (in the medical field). There image is required to be suitable for the $$ that pays them. They need to know we are adults and make good decisions.
I am not saying an evo isn't in our eyes or you wouldn't be here. You obviously look at a bmw, mercedes, lamborghini, ferrari owner and immediately have an image in your mind. Dont be oblivious to facts.
Short story, they keep their weekend warriors when they don't have to meet their clients and show up in a more appropriate luxury sports car when visiting clients. This makes a big difference from experience of my co-workers as they have mentioned the reactions of using a sports car vs luxury sport, as expected.
Just like showing up in a suit for an interview vs casual business. It makes a difference.
Decide your situation and plan accordingly. You can always buy an evo again when the time is right. Your $$ power should come first.

I raised hell at the dealership I leased the GTI - thankfully they made an error on the lease that violated a federal regulation and I returned the car.
Last night I bought a 2013 335i 4 door, 6 speed, 31k miles, original owner. While it's a nice car and I'm certain my gf will love it, it's in much need of some driving enhancements.
Swaybars (if they make them?) mtech bumpers + side skirts and lsd are first on the list
Then needs coilovers, tune, downpipe, intercooler, bigger injectors, intake and meth.
I want to try to keep the car pretty quiet though. Evo 9 has been the most fun car I have ever owned though.
