Check out this cool article. I hope the 8 compares favorable to the 7 and the US spec is similar to the Euro spec here. Even if AYC and ACD are options, they are well worth the cost if the car is under $35k. IMO.

I always read that article when I'm bored. It just shows how much better the EVO is...of course the rex wasn't an STI, but I doubt that'd make a difference.

By the way, did anyone check out the newest SCC? The Bozz speed EVO VII is my dream machine.

 

the guy from bozz speed has an EVO 1 that makes over 400hp !!

yeah i read the one about bozz speed but they detuned the EVO cuz it was just too crazy...lol they had to detune it inorder to somewhat make it driveable.

 

Man, according to this article the WRX has about 51 more hp than the standard version. They also state the Evo VII made about 29 more whp than the standard version. Based on that, the standard Euro Evo VII kicks some serious ***! Just look at the dyno chart:

Well, the Euro Evo is not "Detuned" Aside from the LHD, that is the same one that is on the road in Japan. This article was like commparing apples to oranges.

Let me be the first to tell you that a WRX with only a few mods, and coilovers, droplinks, and swaybars will run circles around the EVO on a track. Not to bash, because I love the EVO, but you just have to realize that the WRX is one quick car. One rand a 10.73 at Famoso last weekend (That is a North American record BTW).

I would probably stick with the WRX if the tranny was better, and SOA didn't cator to a bunch of rainbow loving dykes and ****. Instead Subaru chooses to shun its true enthusiasts and ride the gay rainbow. But it isn't, and they don't, so I am going to join the MMC crowd.
