Mine is stock-ish. It has a tune, a MBC, a FMIC (painted to look stock), and a Works exhaust. The engine bay looks 100% stock.

The salesman on Facebook says they were expecting $80k. How strange that's exactly what the bid is. Hmmm.
So now if ANYONE were to bid, they would have what they wanted.
Genius.

But it's weird for it to have jumped from $60,200 to an even $80,000. Prior to that, it was a few guys outbidding each other back and forth for a while.

That is indeed pretty crazy. I'm sure this will exceed a bit over 100k.

Yea, looks like it will! The auction is almost there ATM. At this point I'm a little surprised.

Me too. That is insane. But good for them, if they can fetch that kind of coin for an eleven year-old car.

And they still have the white one too, if I'm not mistaken, though the grey one is the better one in terms of condition.

This just all seems really weird to me. It is a relatively new Japanese sedan. It's not a classic, it wasn't made in small numbers, I don't really see anything collectible about it.
I would really like to see it be sold and actually go to a new owner. I am curious as hell.

Could have had it for $50k 6 years ago. Heck of a spike

Someone in Abu Dhabi will probably buy it and it will never see sunlight again.

I wondr if they're still offering the 10yr/10k mile warranty

On a side note, I'm sure they're holding onto a few Evo X FE's as well

I'm curious to see the bidding histories of the top few bidders.
I'm just far too skeptical.

Actually, when they first brought these four Evo IX MRs up, they said they were selling them at sticker, though it was during that time when SCM had the EvoM/SCE member pricing that was below invoice. So of course people whined and talked the whole "why would I pay sticker for a four year-old car" talk and then they had to eat their words when SCM decided to sell it for more when an overseas buyer raised the bar. Then people whined even more.

In theory, the warranties *should* start the day of the purchase. So if you bought a 2006 at the end of 2005 when they first came out, the warranty clock starts ticking in 2005, and if you bought a 2006 in early 2007, it starts ticking in 2007, even though it's the same model year.

But who knows, maybe they're banking on an overseas buyer anyway to get out of that responsibility. I assume the warranty is void once the car leaves the US.

Not sure about the X FEs (haven't really noticed them), but they've had a bunch of X SEs on their lots for years. At least ten of them for sure.

Same here, I hope I'm wrong but I'm not convinced this is legit just yet.
