lol, reminds me of an exchange i had earlier today. Sombody asked me what kind of car i drove and I said a mitsubishi evo. He googled it to see what it looked like and said "oh yea ive seen these driving around"

Sure the EvO was mass produced, at some level. Certainly not overly so, where the market was flooded w/them. It was a limited production run, marketed to a relative small niche segment
We are already seeing some price appreciation & I feel it will only continue.

I see 2-5 per week, during the short time in on the road. They are all over Fresno. Makes me jealous because I'm always on my civic LOL

The lack of performance on most small sporting cars these days where people want to be individuals and have fun again is going to keep these cars cost going up. When I mention tracking to guys I know, all of them want to try it, the thrill and speed. The Evo is the ideal weapon for the weekend warrior wanting something raw, individual and not mainstream.But I am glad most of them are under the thumb and are not out there doing it as there would be no space on the track for me..lol
