Cops where I live have more important things to do like taking down the heroin and methamphetamine problems you know real crimes?

Statutory fees are reasonable. You should see what they are, once the city tacks on theirs.
a $65 cell phone ticket turns into $180+.
They can ,literally ,choose any amount they please. It's a racket.

Bringing this one back up to the top. Pretty sure on my way to work today, CHP was out hunting for people with modified exhaust. I saw at least 10 people pulled over and most of the cars were modified Hondas, Subarus and other "riced" out cars with shiny exhaust. No muscle cars though. This was on the 215 between the 10 and 210. I was lucky enough to have 2 CHP pass me and not even look twice. Actually, I take that back. One CHP flew up behind me, paced me for a second, probably noticed my plate and moved on. Pulled over the guy to the left of me instead haha.
