They have had signs up in my local store for over a month now about the price increases. I wanna say I just paid $16/lb for Ribeye.

People realized they were getting really rare and newer owners smartened up and started asking what they're worth as a historical japanese car. This is the same with the ct9a. In Canada evo 9s are already selling for a minimum of 35k all the way up to 60k for a clean low mileage example but its happening earlier here since evos were never offered till the tenth gen for us. This price range is consistent in euro market too. I dont know what it is with people in the usa, but they don't seem to know what they have till its gone. Or at least really low supply. Then they complain when prices suddenly explode.

Its not that i think the IX should be over priced, its that i think it is currently way under-priced in the usa in comparison with the rest of the world market and this is going to explode and be a price tsunami for unsuspecting buyers.
Nobody cares about the Evo anymore in the USA, and not much anywhere else. This forum is a great example, it's dead compared to how it used to be. There are so many great cars out now that the Evo isn't really that special anymore.

I also think its just a matter of the Supra being a special case, maybe over valued vs. the evo being under valued. Notice its always the Supra that gets brought up as an example of how undervalued the evo is and not STI's etc...

I don't think people are getting Supra prices for GTO's despite being pretty comparable.

Y'all need costco memberships. I bough USDA prime ribeye's for $15 or $16/lb on Wednesday last week...lol. And my local butcher is maybe $1 more per pound than he was a year ago. Prime ribeye is $20/lb, American wagyu ribeye $33/lb, american wagyu tri-tip $20/lb, etc...

I can see Canada being excited over Evos much like how the US went nuts over GTRs.

I'm trying to sell my stock evo 9 that has been in the garage for the past 14 years, with only 8k original miles. Someone wants to buy for $25k but I feel like it goes for more...

Assuming it's in good, running condition you can most likely get more, if you wait for the right buyer. $25k ain't half bad, IMO, if you are wanting a quicker sale.

Made my point...If you were serious about selling your car it would be gone in 60 seconds for that price. No pun intended. Post it on bring a trailer or ebay auction and it would go for a hell of alot more than 25k as it should. But no you are pawning an 8k mile evo 9 like a meth addict needs cash on a forum for evos...hmmm

He owns a car that's been sitting for 14 years and doesn't know what its worth...Im going to assume its not a barn find and that its maintained and in showroom condition with that mileage. How can you not know what its worth? He entertained an offer that's far below the msrp. Heck if he did a simple google search or what evo 9s with that mileage goes for he would know that 25k is a hilarious offer. pretty sure kbb will say 25k

All he said is that he was offered $25k but feels it's worth more. He's basically agreeing with you.

He was asking if Its worth more..it should be pretty obvious it is. Its just funny to see offers like that are being entertained in 2020. Its the reason buyers are expecting evos for cheap...because of owners selling with lack of knowledge. His question would have made sense in 2010 but he must be the only stock evo in his state with that mileage willing to sell.

Anyone selling an Evo for less than you feel is adequate, based on your assumptions, is uneducated/stupid/people like me.
check.
You are obviously very passionate about Evo pricing. Good luck with your crusade.
