Newbie Evo 8 Build
Hi Everyone,
I'm currently in the process of modifying my car and I'm looking for some advice on the build and missing items and possible miss information. My questions are when going from what I'm going to presume stock to around 350/400Tq & 480/500whp, Is there anything else I should replace or look at doing to the car?
Thank you for any input and insight.
Basically I'm just lost on what additional stuff I might need before the tune below I listed a few things I was considering but unsure about.
Miles : 140k( Not sure if anything was done to the engine previously)
Pending Modifications for engine below.

For starters, all maintenance should be up to date. 140k so you should have had a timing belt done ~20k miles ago and within the last 5 years. The car is at least 15 years old so I would also replace all the coolant hoses while you are installing the turbo etc. It should have no boost leaks, you want to test above the max psi you plan on running. A compression/leak down test would be a good idea. If you're on the stock recirc valve (bov) you will need to either crush it (if its metal) or upgrade it if its plastic. You will want to replace the head bolts with head studs. You will need an upgraded clutch to handle the power. The front motor mount should be replaced with a stiffer aftermarket type. It would be a good idea to replace all the intake pipe clamps with T-bolt clamps. A C.O.P. Ignition would also be a good upgrade.
That's all I've got off the top of my head. I'm sure I missed stuff so hopefully others will chime in too.

Hey!
Thanks for the quick response.
I've done the water pump and belts about 20k miles ago because it went out haha. I've also already done the clutch about 10k ish ago. I've updated the post to include that stuff.
Thank you for the insight on the hoses and Bov. I guess I still have stuff to do.
Cheers

S1 cams won't be enough S2 will work. 1200cc injectors will work, but I would go higher just for the headroom. Your trans and t case will be fine for that amount of power. Rebuilding them are just added security but not needed. Only other thing I can comment on and give advice to is to port your skunk 2 pro and 65mm tb. Other then that sounds like a nice safe and fun setup good luck with the build.
