It's identical to the Vegas Evo. This one just has tape on it making it look a tad different. Everything is the same though. Kind of funny...no one liked the Evo VIII from Vegas pic but everyone is liking this one..

BTW, it was at Nurburgring. The Evo was actually crashed (the Evo was being pushed REAL hard and was spun backwards into a barrier). Japanese Engineers spent half the day making repairs on it to continue testing. Btw, the Sti was there also.

WOW makes a big difference when you can see the whole car. When we just had the shots of the front bumper on that yellow car, it really looked like crap. But now I'm really wanting an Evo again.

Liked those snaps yesterday, but the following taken from Autoweek.com
The last line has me worried.
Makes me think that awful Ponitac look is coming back

>> Evo VIII
The Evo VIII, with a turbo four making 265 horsepower, plus awd and Brembo brakes, debuts at the Los Angeles auto show in January. Our Evo will have a reworked hood scoop and ground effects not found on the Evo VII (shown) sold in other parts of the world.

Will they ever learn..............

Wow that's awesome. I sure was right when I said everyone would end loving the look of it in the end

Anyhoo I am really curious as to what models and trims are going to end up here. I was hoping there would only be 1 but the article makes it sound like we are getting all 3.

Is that front end different than the one in the Vegas and Autoweek pics? Sure looks like it to me.
You are right Rax. Since these pics have the steering wheel on the right side I'm wondering if there might be two different trim styles for each side of the sea. Or possibly different trim for different Evo 8s available. Remeber the autoweek pics didn't have a wing. Could one be the GRS and the other an RS version?
I'm not sure which I like better- I might be leaning toward the autoweek paneling.

The evo VIII is looking better every day! Those wheels look awsome and there is no wheel gap at all in the fenders. I have to own this car!

Is the way the new mitsubishi looks.

Very original and complete best decribes the new STI.

Totally respect your preference.
Totally disagree with you, though. That hood scoop Ford/Kia front The design just seems to try too hard to be agressive

The New WRX doesn't look half bad, they both seem to have their good points. Overall, I find the Evo VIII to be a more aggressive appeal. I want to still want to see if they have made the interior better on the Evo VIII. I like how they did the fog lights on the WRX. Although I don't like the spoiler or the scoop in the hood. I can see appeal on both. I'll just have to wait to seem them in up close and see how the specs are.
