Is it just me, or do the rear wheel wells look very small?

i think these new spy shots look better then the car show ones... the grill on the EVO VIII looks pretty beat, just like the rest of the new Mitsu line, the grill makes it look like a lower-end car, not finished and plastic-like.

 

I really don't like the bottom half of the front ground effects. It looks so drooopy, thick and clumsy with little to no down force ability.

 

I don't really give a shiz....it looks better than the Rex....that's all that really matters to me as far as looks go.

And it'll porbably beat the ever-lovin shiz out of the Rex as well.

I disagree hooby I think the new STI and even the older bug eyed look is a way more aggressive rally look then the droopy wide look that this new EVO 8 is probly going to be using. I really wish that would have stuck to the solid edges and vertical lines that it had always used to distinguish the EVO. The gold concept picture and the black one are way better designs as far as the aggressive aspect of the vehicle goes. Although making the car more aerodynamic is a good thing it can very easily be done without sacrificing the cars haritage.

 

meh.....aesthetics are all relative.

and regardless...it WILL be beating down the STI

I don't think the STI will stand up to the Evo....I just don't see it happening. By the time the STI will have made it over here... will have worked out all of the kinks. Not saying the STI isn't a beast of a machine....it's a great car, but I don't think it'll be quite as quick around a track. Maybe in a straight line, but not around a track.

The Evo front will look nice. Follow that dude who posted the uk site on page 4 and look at the blue one...you can not say that isn't hot.

 

Without a doubt. The blue one from mag-x is SWEET . If it looked that good when it gets here I will be a very happy man. However the one in white at nuremberg doesnt have alot of the same lines as the one on the mag-x cover. Since the nuremburg one is like 3months+ newer then the blue one it looks like we will be getting the drooping round look instead of the (move out the way or I'll kill you and your family) look that makes the EVO seem as tough as it is.

Perhaps it is just the color, lighting and black tape that make it look so plain and drooping too.

I can't wait for some official pictures in some different colors.
