Third Party Inspection before Warranty Expires?
I have 32K miles on my Evo and my warranty will soon be bye bye. I don't have any visible problems with my car, but I wonder if it would be worth it to pay a race shop to inspect it. The shop could give it a thorough once-over to see if there are any things I could get fixed under warranty. What do you think?
Have you thought about an extended warranty? My girlfriend just picked up a warranty that covers mechanical, electric and drivetrain for 4 years/48,000 miles. It cost $1,800 for her '99 SVT Cobra.
We haven't made any claims yet so I can't tell you much about them. I can't remember there name, but I'm sure if you do a search for vehicle warranty online, you'll find some.
Of course if your car is modded, that may be a problem.
