Do you mind if i ask, how long the wiring option is... Are you limited to about 2 to 6 inches to get it set, or if you extend the wires with crimps, can you customize the layout...

the set of wires that extend to the harness are about 10 - 12 inches long I think and are sheilded together with a black wrapping. The brake, RPM, and speedo wires are about 5 feet long or more.

I just received my turbo timer today and i didn't realize you had to tap into your ecu wires. I'm a bit weary to do this as my car is basically brand new and tapping into the ecu wires would most likely void my warranty. Has anyone had any issues with this turbo timer and warranty ckaims?

edit: Can i just tap into my parking brake wire and not use the other features of my type 1 timer? I'm knocking myself in the head right now. Should have saved money on the type 0 because now i don't think i'm going to be using the added features of the type 1.

The purpose is for the auto turbo timer feature, that automatically chooses the time of count down by your driving habits/time...

HKS TURBO TIMER TYPE-1
Yes, it does work with the factory alarm.
I just installed mine over the weekend. Easy install, just a bit time consuming. Instead of using the connectors that came with the turbo timer I soldered the appropriate wires together. Great write up by the way!

BTW: Did anyone have to calibrate their tubro timer?
I haven't, everything seems to be fine and accurate. Is it necessary to calibrate?
thanks guys

Has anyone mounted under the main dash? .. right under the dash over the ashtray.. ? I'm planning on trying to get it there, but I dont think the wires are going to be long enough.

Thanks!

So on the type 0 you have to tap into the RPM Wire? How do you do that if that is true? Can anyone help, this would really help me out, I just got the type 0 and want to install correctly the first time. Can anyone help?
