You have to ground your wires in order for your Timer to turn on. It'll just beep, if you don't wire it. There is a nut right side of the steering column thats connected to the metal subframe. That's a good place to wire your timer, boost gauge, etc.

The alarm is working fine.

Now, here is the question.

Whenever I have my lights on and the Turbo timer is running and when it shuts itself down, the lights still on.

I can't figure out why. Maybe the door gets open, then close while the engine is running? Is that what you guys are going through too? You have to manually shut your lights off when you leave your car?

thanks

i'm in the process of instlaling my hks type 1. Which wire do you tap for the parking brake? is it the blue one right at the base of it, or is it one of the wire taped together?

I have a problem with my TT... When on the gauge it shows 1000 rpm, the TT show 1500 rpm... I remember first time it was the speed who was not accurate, now the rpm.

So how you do to make it accurate?

Thx

it should say in the instrictions, but if my memory serves me correct go to the rpm display mode, hit t2, 2000 should flash across the screen, hold the rpms at 2000 and hit t2 again

how accurate are the readings as far as 0-60 and 1/4 mile are concerned?

So the directions are wrong with the timer? It should be #58 and #89??

Thumbs up Great Instructions...

Hey Sky...

got a question for ya....just installed this in my 05 EVO and it went in smooth as heck....

only thing is ....when i tap into #86 Speed sensor (black wire with yellow strips)...i'm not gettin any readings...RPM and everything else works on the car...except for the Speedo feature....

also....on your Black TT Type 1....do your readings show kmh, or mph?....mine shows kmh....

is it because i need to calibrate it first or something for it to show mph?

any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks..

Great instructions....

Wicked

I didn't use #58, I think the HKS directions are wrong.

You need to tap 86 and 89. Did mine yesterday. Oh, and it shows mph.

Talking Finally..thanks

Went to check on my connections...it looks like i didn't snap the 86 Speedo sensor wire down tight enough....

it works good now...

still shows kph...but i was able to set the timer to 'learn' speed sensor pulse width and it works good now...

thanks for the help....

Awesome TT...and it feels good not having to wait in the car for cool-down...

2003 model; purchased way back in May even! 2nd one in all of St Louis, so I was one of the early, early, early ones.

The mph and rpm's work perfect, including the peak functions - those are really neat. I haven't messed much with the 0-60 or 1/4 mile times yet, but look forward to it. Others??

13.21 @ 107mph

Just came back from town, and decided to really test it out. Anyways, I just let out the clutch w/o a lanch and pulled a 13.21 @ 107mph. I think that sounds pretty accurate. I've pulled a 13.0 before and trapped 105mph at the track with less mods (now have complete exhaust and other misc goodies).

Others?

I think you got the UK spec one (KM/H) there is also the US spec one (MPH), i am not sure if you can change it to MPH. You have to order the US spec TT. Not toatally for sure!!
