Did you take apart the gauge? Is it easy to do and like...run extension wires to the dash for the LCD?

To do this I had to pull the AEM gauge appart, and desolder the LED Digit Segments and create an extension harness. I then took the 3 segments super glued them together, and epoxyed them to the gauge cluster.

if you are not good a soldering, then I would not recommend this. It took quite some time to do. desoldering is a pain unless you have the right stuff.

To take the gauge appart, I just had to cut the back off with a dremel, and then just continue cutting the case off until the guts finally came out. After I desoldered the LED Number Segments, I then ran some 22 or 30ga wire from the circut board to the new location of the digits. You have to wrap all of the wire very well because the small gauge wire is very fragile and will break easy. I used a lot of epoxy to hold everything togeter.

Next time I take my gauge cluster out of the car I will snap some pics.

That would be cool if you could take those pics.

If you are doing the AEM gauge it would be a 5. You need to know how to solder and basic wiering skills.
