Turbo DSM connectors are the same exact thing. The N/A cars did not have them. I have even found some other 6-pin connectors on a junkyard Evo that can be used too... I think they were for the headlights or something else up front. Of course, you can now find a blanking plug or bypass to do the same thing. For me, I just cut my wires and soldered them together. I would highly discourage any mechanical connector such as wire nuts or regular crimpies... it is just not the right way to do it. If you are modding your car, do it right and solder it or at a minimum use a shrink connector that also solders when heated.

What is being shown is the five wires are all tied together and the resistor pack is eliminated. The white is 12v and the other four black wires go to each injector. This is only needed for the high impedance injectors as they have more resistance built into them. For stock injectors or aftermarket low impedance injectors--- you NEED the resistor pack. If you do eliminate it and you run low impedance or as some places call low z injectors---- you will kill your ECU. Some aftermarket ECU's never need a resistor pack... but as I said for the stock ECU you do with low impedance injectors.

If you are not sure what you have... use a multimeter... (this is from memory)....

Low impedance is around 2 ohms. Resistor pack IS required.
High impedance is around 12-16 ohms. Resistor pack is NOT required.

You can get one here as well for $18.49!

Has anyone bought this instead of cutting the wires to the resistor pack?

I am converting to E85 and I just want to do it the right way.

What is the difference between low impedance and high impedance injectors performance wise? Which one is better and what is the benefit of each? I have decided to go with FIC, now I just need to decide high or low.

Also what is the best fuel pump to go with? Walbro 255?
Besides Injectors, fuel pump, and fuel lines.... What else should I change?

It all works, just depends on if you have extra parts on hand as I do . Their bypass plug works and FIC has one too.

As far as injectors, if you go with high impedance then you can eliminate the resistor pack. Basically you will need to spec your injectors and pump for your power level... so for that definitely do you homework first. I currently run the FIC 1100's high impedance with the resistor pack bypassed and once I got my injector scaling and offsets right... it starts, runs, drives like normal 100% of the time. I trust them with injectors, so they are my pick as well. Also I am pump gas only since E85 is a tough to find in my area.

Fuel pump you have choices, but for E85 I would seriously look into the Walbro 400 E85 pump as it flows a lot of fuel and is priced damn well. I have been lurking on Radium's website for a while as I have really been considering their surge tank for my Evo tha tI autocross.... Radium has a good writeup on a pump test they did:

They also have fuel rails, lines, regulators, etc for our cars as well.

Just make sure you have proper compatibility between the fuel you use and the components you buy. Do it right and do it once.
