How to wake up my sleeping evo?

Due to financial reasons and working on my first home I had to park up my Evo.
She was parked in the garage over a year ago and forgotten about whilst I cracked on with life.
Well, 2026 is looking brighter and I want to get her back out.
The tank was full so I'm assuming i'll need to drain this first using the plugs on the bottom of the tank?
The battery is dead so I'll be replacing that.
Removing all the brakes for a full refurb along with new disks and pads.

Question is, what do I need to do for her first start?
Fresh oil? Pull any fuses?
I fully intend to get her trailered up to CPP for a full service and check over before getting her back on the road.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers,

After sitting for only one year try with a jump-starter and it might just come to life.

Honestly a year isn't that long. The gas is probably still good but you might as well not take the chance and flush it. Change the oil, fresh gas, new batt and send it.

Change the oil, fresh battery, and it should fire up. Take it easy on the first tank of fuel bc its old and then send it. I park mine up for ~5 months every year and a year isn't that much longer.

Honestly, unless the brakes are bad, I wouldn't even bother.

it might help to add fresh fuel and an octane booster in there then let it idle for 10 min to get new fuel flowing. I would change the oil and start her up and that's about it. 1 year really isn't long. These are all precautions and technically it would be fine to just start it up and go.

If it fires over, add a fuel system cleaner and run it out the fuel return hose on the end of the rail. The drains on the fuel tank sides create a mess. Fuel pumps like to fail from prolonged sitting tho so beware.

i had a walbro 255 sit for 7 years once started no problem lol. I know it happens but i think this stuff is made to be a bigger deal than most techs and mechanics say. Like even gas. It takes a real long time to get dangerously old. Oil? I once had it sitting in a crank case of an unused engine for 5 years was told it was garbage from moisture and acidity. Had it tested out of curiosity and it came back perfect.
