I've got a turbo Lancer OZ and have been having this problem with the P0139 Slow Response O2 Sensor code. I tried using an O2 simulator, but it is causing me to run too lean (found out by getting my emissions inspected. Do you guys think this will help remedy the engine code and keep me from running lean? Why not just buy a brass fitting from Home Depot so you don't have to do any drilling?

Whatever you do to the rear O2 sensor will not affect you air fuel ratio at all!

you are running lean for another reason.

Then why would I pass emissions by just unplugging the O2 simulator? I was failing because of NO emissions, which are increased by running lean.

Any ways, back on topic, would this help me with the code?

We only get the PO0139 when the O2 sensor is not inside the exhaust stream enough.

What 02 simulator are you using?

One from Summit racing, exactly the same as Perrin and Buscher. Just to keep things on topic, check out the thread I made for my issue in the regular Lancer section.

Finally got that damn hole drilled.. I bought a titanium 1/2 bit and even ruined it.. but I did get the hole drilled. Drill bits "made in china" didn't make a dent on it.

My dad was so proud of his cordless drill but after 2 batteries and 2 drill bits I went and picked up a 60$ dewalt electric

Just finished on my RS-R exhaust and downpipe w/ cat delete. Reset the computer and the check engine light is now gone, hopefully it doesn't come back. It was a tight fit but I just had to pull the whole exhaust to the side while threading it in to make it fit. So far this has been a great article, a fix for under $4.

I had the same problem with my RS-R. I ended up using 1 antifouler, but i still had to slightly dent the floor board w/ a hammer so it would fit.

I could have done the same but I did not want to dent up the floor board. Did you stop gettin gthe cell with just one fouler?

I have the megan racing turbo back exhaust and tried the single anti-fouler trick but it didn't work. This weekend I'll try adding the second one and see if that does the trick.

Yup, I've been close to 15,000 miles with no problems. When I first put them on, I still got CEL after awhile. You just have to find the right combination of anti-foulers to match your set-up.
