Catback install
Ok first off i did use the search and i didnt find anything, not sayings its not there but iraq has the terrible internet. i recently purchased a megan racing catback exhaust and im like i said thousands of miles away and a couple months from the install and i cant find any info on removing the old exhaust and putting on a new catback. Is the stock exhaust bolted on and easy to remove or required cutting? and can i do this job with my own tools and jackstands? Thanks for any info and sorry again i wish there was a how to / install noob section
i don't think you searched...there's no way you searched this forum and didn't find anything. and the type/speed of internet has nothing to do with it...
you jack it up, remove 2-3 bolts, take off the stock catback, reinstall new exhaust

yeah your right i lied about searching....thanks for the information but it is really necessary to add in the flame spray? and the internet does matter because searching through threads for the info i need takes longer than the 30 minutes im allowed.
It"s a simple removal and install. Cutting the old exhaust bolts my be needed, all depends on how old, and rusted your bolts are. I had to cut mine on my old evo IX, and it only had about 15K on it at the time of the install.

I needed heat and tons of PB. I would soak the bolts from cat to midpipe each day before driving to work and at night before bed. I did it for 3 days and compared to the first attempt with no PB it was quite difficult and the second bolt needed some serious heat/PB and some crazy muscle. But it worked. Plan to be miserable for this one, I definitely pulled out the swear word sentence making book
