I'm thinking about doin this as well. Mostly cuz of the statement that it will almost stop low acceleration bucking. I have a synapse recirced bov and get bad bucking low acceleration. Also is a tune required after this? Has anyone seen that after this mod it has takin care of partial throttle ISSUES?

 

looks great! but, what coils are those? Almost all the coils I have seen used sit much lower than that and can usually fit under the stock cover.

 

They are the Honda coils (S2000, CR-V, Civic etc). They sit higher but were much cheaper new. That was my main driving factor, $40 a piece brand new Densos. But yea they sit higher, oh well might as well show them off!

No this won't help with your problems. Your problem is your blow off valve is fluttering, cop systems are to stop spark break-up on high hp cars.

I have a set of Denso Honda S2000 coils, I also bought the 2 connectors needed to plug the coils into the stock Evo harness. But what totally skipped my mind was the 4 connectors that plug into the S2000 coils themselves. I checked with local junk yards and no one has Honda S2000's in their lot, so my question is, what connectors could I use for the Honda S2000 coils? could I possibly use maybe Civic connectors? I'm sure the connectors are compatible with other models of Honda, just wondering if anyone knew for a fact what connectors I could use. I'm not really looking for the pigtails or anything but it would be nice. I just need the connectors for the coils. Thanks!

 

This may help expand your search for the COP connectors. Off the top of my head I know these are all the same connector as the 04-05 S2K: 03-05 2.4l Accord, 03-05 2.0l Civic, 02-06 CR-V, 03-09 2.4l Element, 02-06 RSX.

All k series connectors will fit s2k coils.

I got oem s2k coils and harness for 30 bucks. Just gotta order my body side plugs

 

My cop setup and the OE cover bolts on fine
Coils and connectors $35
Wiring and bolts $30

if the yaris coils are too short, which coils are long enough so you dont have to stretch the spring and yet fits under the plug cover still?!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe we should specify which coils we're talking about. The ones from the Civic (S2000) 2.0L does not fit. I believe the ones from the 1.7L do fit.

I went for the ones from the S2000 (2.0L Civic) because I figured they'd have decent performance.
