How to make cheap coil on plug setup
So I finally got my civic coils from a friend who had a civic that I swapped motors for she had a extra set can't say no to free. Installed them the other day and WOW its so much better in every way, I had to remove my ignition booster but it was still a great improvement over the oem coils. Still need to fab up a plate but they fit under my ignition blade cover so win win all around. Personally I wouldn't waste my time with a Hyundai coil swap guys. I know it's plug and play and all but wiring in the COP setup isn't very hard to do I did it completely as a full plug and play harness for mine in like an hour and if you shop around can be super cheap too.
just ordered my parts for this, just want to confirm has everyone upp'd the ignition fuse to 15amps from the original 10 amps as per the spoolinup page http://www.szabaga.com/store/files/directions.jpg
I made A cop kit and been having trouble with misfiring, bucking for quite some time. I gap'd my plugs A million times and finally got them dialed in. So now I'm running 1 step colder plugs and can't dial em in to save my life, yes all coil packs are working properly and there is no cracks on the boots. I've read that you guys up the amps of the ignition fuse, could this be the culprit?

15A fuse isn't going to change anything, but I would use it over the 10A fuse. Many people have reported the spoolinup blowing 10A fuse and Spoolinup suggests a 15A fuse, as does Sparktech I think
What plugs are you using johnnydemz4G63? What are they gapped at?

I've recently (yesterday) placed my OEM plugs back in and gap'd to .020 and have no misfire but I do have pre-detination.
When I put my cop together I did everything correct and carefully took my time. I will pop in A 15A and see what happened.
I'm at .026 on stock plugs ILFR7H and have no misfires. what coils are you running?
If you're having pre-detonation with the stock plugs and coils in I would get that sorted out first. If you really do have pre-ignition you shouldn't be driving the car unless you want to rebuild your motor soon
