how to throttle cable tuck?? anybody..

how to throttle cable tuck?? anybody..

hopefully putting my engine back in tomorrow and i was planning on tucking my throttle cable and the wiring on top of my intake mani.. i know how to do the wiring i just want to know whats the best way to tuck the throttle cable so it wont get stuck/jammed or mess with my idle, i searched and didnt come across any threads on it...

Pretty sure best way is to just route it underneath the intake manifold. That's what my cousin did with his anyways and hasnt had any issues.

Yep, I routed mine over toward passenger strut tower and then back toward the tb. Just use ur best judgement to find a clean path with places you can secure the cable (zip ties). The biggest thing is to avoid any sharp angles in the cable. You obviously have to lead it across and come back, but just make the widest angle possible. I tried to lead mine downward in the bay a bit just so that on the way back I could lead it up and around to give it a wider angle.

Yeah I did that too, wrap it underneath the intake manifold and back around in the area of the passenger shock tower.

IIRC you run the injector wires up through the spaces in the intake manifold.....dont quote me on that though......lol

Before you start your car make sure you open and close the throttle body butterfly by hand and listen for an audible click. It should be snapping back closed with no interference. Mine was making my car idle high after, there are two screws on the slide tensioner if you need to adjust. It's not hard, takes 5 minutes.
