Help: Torque Solution 6-speed shifter bushing doesn't fit

Hey guys. I bought the bushings on the title online from STM. The bigger bushing that goes on the lower end fit fine, but the thinner bushing that goes on the top end is too tall and covers up the hitch pin hole, and it's just a bit too wide that the cable doesn't slip right over it. I thought maybe it was a manufacturers defect so I contacted STM and they were really cool about it and sent me a whole new set. I received it today and it's the exact same bushing. Anyone have any ideas?

No debris that would cause the bushing to sit higher than it's supposed to.

Bushing covers where hitch pin goes through, and inner hole looks too big allowing play in the cable movement

Shifter bushing diameter is too big and doesn't allow cable to go over it. I'd have to press it in.

Shifter bushing doesn't fit inside cable.

It looks like you need to remove that gold ring. Its like a bearing race. You see what im talking about? It looks like removing that will give you that extra room your needing.

Oh that's not part of the cable?
But that wouldn't help with the bushing being too tall and covering up the hitch pin hole

The pictures look like it isnt. Are both bushings the same size?

No, there's a shorter, but much wider bushing that only fits into the lower cable.

Glad it helped.

Contact Torque Solution themselves though. They explained by email that the person in charge of packaging must have been putting the 5 speed bushing into the 6 speed packages. STM didn't catch that and sent me the second, wrong package. Torque Solution will send you the correct package free of cost
