I understand the newest version of ECUflash has been produced specifically for those of you that have the EVO IX. I have the VIII and the previous software. Does this mean that I have to download the newest version as well?
If that is so, I went to the OpenECU website, and the newest version is only for Window's XP. Where can I find it for Windows 2000?
Thanks

The program is the same for Windows 2000 as Windows XP.. works on both..
www.download.com
I went to the OpenECU webpage to download the newest version. Problem. The version is in .rar format. So I went to the Mynes Performance webpage to see if it was there. No-Go. Where can I go to get this new version in .zip format?
I was squared away by one of our evoM brothers in another thread. I appreciate it greatly! To my car I go to download my ROM...!

pure_EVO Base ROM Sent...
Back from downloading my ROM...
Big Al, sir.
You now have in your inbox at: info@dynoflash.com my base ROM map along with my current mods.
I've also sent the same message to you via PM.
My payment through Paypal has also been taken care of. I posted the email there also.
And now, I'm posting the same message here.
Here’s my 2004 EVO VIII stock base ROM file. My current mods are: APS cold-air intake and the APS TBE. I’ll be primarily using 93 octane. There’s a lot of open road in the Central Texas area so primarily, that’s where I’ll be driving my car. I’ll be stationed close to Austin where the elevation is 925 feet.
I have saved the file to include both my evoM user name as well as my real name along with the year and make of my car. I think that covers every base.
I know that this might be overkill but I don't want to get lost in the shuffle.
Hopefully, I'll have my ROM back before the 4th of July. That'll be a great gift to this 'ole Army guy!

How long has it taken for you guys who've gotten it?
I thought four or five days - but it's taken at least a week and a half just to get this far.
I know he's busy and all that, but he's responded to my email - when he could have at least told me he's busy and given me an ETA.
Just going to sit tight and hope he gets to me sometime soon.
Looks like you might have been out for a while Al. I am going to send you an email and a pm just to cover my bases. Tuesday will be two weeks and I really need to get the car rolling. I check my email and this thread every day for updates, so if anything, a heads up to any of us still waiting would be great.
Thanx
