I really thing u should check out their homepage http://zainobros.com .. they can explain their products better than I can.

Everything "bonds" together.. even the car wash.

Z1 polish lock usually isn't needed anymore because of ZFx tough...

I can see what you're saying and why, however, we're both guessing. Unless someone actually has measurements of thickness (which I don't think it's worth doing for either product), we can't really say. It's not how much you apply that matters, it's how much remains after you buff it off, no? Regardless, the thickness itself may not matter. Since they're both made out of completely different products. 1" of steel, or 1 foot of styrofoam? know what I mean? I guess you can't really compare the 2, and all I am saying is at this point, since silver has a clearcoat (i think red and maybe white don't?). I'm just happier with the zaino and the look as well as how long it lasts. i.e., those 2 qualities are higher up on my priority list than how well it protects, because in my mind, the clearcoat is doing that job.

and if you want it thicker, just keep adding coats . It's easy to do after the 1st one.

yeah true... either you go with wax or zaino... how often you do it is whats important when it comes to protecting your evo..... now my SECOND question.... do you think zaino ,then waxing on TOP of that will give a good protection...and u think it will enhance the look? pro car detailers often put on a layer of synthetic polish for the shine and put carnuaba on top to give it depth..... maybe it willwork in this instance too?

I dont think that's a good idea. The instructions that come with Zaino specifically say to remove wax by washing with Dawn and then using the gloss enhancer between coats of Zaino because it bonds, yada yada yada. Now, it may all be marketing so you keep using and buying their $100 products.. OR Zaino really doesnt work on wax. So if you read their literature, you might deduce that after the 1st coat of zaino, if you use carnauba wax, then any coat of zaino after that is kind of pointless. But again, being the pragmatist, I have to wonder if that's true or just a good way to get customers to keep using an expensive product.

Wax over Zaino is fine. Just strip what little wax remains with Dawn before re-Zainoing. The Zaino will give you long lasting protection, and the carnauba will give you the ultimate shine, at least for month or two.
