18x9.5 +22 offset setup has been practiced heavily in Japan. Its about how aggressive and how daring you want your car to be.

Here is a pic of Garage HRS CyberEVO's setup. They are running 18x10 +18 up front and 18x9.5 +22 rear.

This may be a stupid question, but how would 18x9's +22 look (if available) compared to a 18x9.5 +22? Any info would be cool.

Everything else being equal it would be 1/4" further inset.

1/4"=6mm

so you're saying it would still have the same overall look just not as far out?

Yes, it should look similar. You need the aggressive offset to get the concave spoke design. Otherwise you get the normal TE37 flat spokes. The +22 should allow you to run a bigger tire also. Of course any of these wheels will require you to roll the rear fender.

im looking at the Volks TE37 18x9.5 with 22 offset. I want to run 255/35 tires..so with big time fender rolling do you think it will fit?

With some wide fenders in the front, and a bunch of rolling/fender pulling the 18x9.5 +22 MIGHT fit.

Exactly...thats why I went with a slightly less aggressive offset on mine.

18x9 +28 front
18x9.5 +35 rear

255/35 all around...we'll see about rubbing and whatnot.

do you guys think I could get away with 18x9's +22 with 245/40's without fender rolling?

All depends on how low you are, and how much camber you are willing to put into the rear. I think that you would be able to get close at stock height, but lowered is another story.

that wheel setup would look pretty stupid if the car wasn't lowered. but yeah, I think you'd definitely need to roll the fenders for 245s on that offset.
