Nice cover up but you never said that dropping weight was = to or like or anything like that, you just stated that droping more weight added more HP.


I did not come here to make any friends so I did not expect any positive responses from any of you, just wanted to point out ricers when I see them.

Anyway I said what I wanted to say so thats all.


BTW: I always had fun somking EVO's at the track when I had my Mustang

go back and read his first posts, he never mentioned dropping weight increases engine horsepower. He mentioned taking off 200lbs is LIKE gaining 20hp.

If you can't understand the above statement, you're dumber than a box of rocks!!!

Lightweight is a great thing. Doing what the **** you want to your car because it's your car, and your money is even better.

I still miss driving my completely gutted 240sx. It was underpowered, but a low 2k lb car with spherical bushings, tubular arms, and full race coilovers make the EVO's handling feel numb.

There are so many adavantages to a lightweight car, that I would have to type a whole report. So you guys who are wondering why? I say this. GOOGLE.

i meant for other body panels. ie. hood. trunk. bumpers. fenders. seats.

If you are into racing, etc.. and you have second car to drive and RS is only a weekend car, why not, other then that i cant see myself driving 60miles a day his car, his money, let him do whatever he wants... peace

This thread is a prime example of why so many people left this damn forum...jesus I think we're reaching the low life level of super-honda or something like that.

The the thread maker, goodluck with your project and keep us updated. Though I may no have done the same thing if I was in your postition, that's only because it would've had to be my daily driver. Otherwise, if you're going for all out fun, I couldn't have thought of a batter way to start .

OK OK SO CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG

You dyno two cars...Corvette with 400hp and an Evo with 400hp but the evo is stripped down like yurs so the weight difference is huge between the two...doesnt this mean the evo will win big being a light Japanese car to American muscle heavyness?????

In conclusions....Dynos are pointless unless theres a hp to weight ratio!!!!!!!!!
