In conclusions....Dynos are pointless unless theres a hp to weight ratio!!!!!!!!!
first of all, the corvette is one of the lightest cars out there considering its size. it is actually a very light car at around 3200lbs (still lighter than an evo by a couple hunders). and yes, if both cars have same hp (assuming similar gears and c/d) than the lighter cars SHOULD brake better, accelerate fast and turn faster. again, i am assuming that we are talking about cars with similar stock performance. you can not compare a RWD corvette to an AWD evo because they are totally different animals.

and yes, dynos are pointless unless you just want to see how your engine mods work together. you will never be able to judge the cars true performance on a dyno. for example, the Ariel Atom only has around 290 hp yet it does 0-60 in 2.9sec and can beat a carrera GT around the track while pulling 1.06 g on the skid pad.

Good answer blonde. Haha, I wasnt gonna get into the detail of the evo vs corvette but I assumed it would be rolling. Im completely shocked the corvette is lighter having a heavier engine and tires and suspension also a nice interior, unlike you know who.

I got an idea: remove your turbo and intercooler; that will save you like 20 pounds! Hey, that is like 2 hp. Na for real. If tubbing your rs is your thang than more power to ya.

Does this always have to turn into a hate and flame fest.

If undrcroft wants to gut his Evo to lighten it up, " great ".

And

Evos and Vettes are both great machines, just completely different.
