Unhappy Vortext Generator gaps

Guys what the hell did I do besides f*** up bad. My antenna looks like it's in the middle of the bracket for the VG, but for some reason I can not get this thing to line up at the edges.

Is this thing supposed to hook into any plastic clips? I know you have to position the plastic clip in the middle of the VG and I did that

Any help would be appreciated.

I think you're supposed to put it under the weather stripping. But I'm sure someone on here knows.

if your talking about the drip protection (black rubber strip) I did put it under that as you can see. What exactly do you mean?

u have to lift the blach w strip, install it vg then reinstall the w strip

My OEM has real small gaps where yours does....but not that much.

remove black strip like previous person said....line up and install generator correctly...fasten...and reinstall black strip...making sure it's clicked in nicely....they do come off at high speeds if not fastened

what do you mean by fasten after you say "line up and install generator correctly"?

step 1. apply 3m double sided tape to vortex generator
step 2. detach black weather stripping the runs along roof of evo/reg lancer
step 3. place generator on roof where you feel it looks good and straight
step 4. press down firmly on generator so a nice bond is formed with room/3m tape/ and generator
step 5. reattach black weather strip and click firmly in place

drive off @ 100+ mph and feel the generator ...generate lol
