+1 xm is pretty sweet. Thye only problem I had is that becasue th MR roof, trunk, and fenders are aluminum I knew that the magnetic antena for XM wouldnt stick. I decided to get the Pioneer Inno (think iPod but with an XM antenna built in) and set it on my dash far forward so it gets reception and jack that into an aftermarket head unit. Works like a charm! i have a 2 and a half inch antenna from a vendor on ebay called "Mangowalk". Looks great and gets all the main channels where I live. Not as good as stock but good enough for me. I dont get those chanelnels that were fuzzy before, but all of the ones that were clear on the stock antenna come in no problem aslo on this one.

I picked up a Honda Element Antenna from the local Honda dealership for $35 with tax...OUCH. But it looks good and my radio reception is better han stock.

Anyone want to buy a mini antenna?

wait so the perrin shorties actually don't hold reception?

i picked up an extra shorty(i call it the midget), off some german ebay-company..
it does nothing in the sense of reception but look @ the damn thing.. it's a midget!

Im glad to see I am not the only one with degraded reception with the perrin shorty. It is especially bad if I am trying to listen to a VA station in Maryland. The stocker didnt have that problem, but boy was it ugly.
