when i took my front bumper off i noticed some rust spots on my front steel support, i sprayed it with some BBQ black flat.
and my car is 100% in the garage, i could imagine how rusted they are when left outside or in salty places, not just winter places but what about evo's near oceans?

Rust free......just clicked 60k.

For the garage quenns having rust issues. I strongly feel you need to drive the car after a wash. Water sits in many spots after. Driving gives you a far better chance of getting that gathered water out of places. As well compressed air from your air compressor would be a good idea if you do not want to drive after a wash.

My routine is wash drive it dry. Come back and go over everything with a shammy. Under the hood and all. Suck up that water. lol

Also heard excellent things about por-15. I plan to try it some day. MAybe on my Jeep when it starts to rust. Oddly enough it has not started 199k and is driven many miles in the winter through salted roads. Guess the fact that I get it rinsed down often in the winter might help here.

I did not buy one Evo cause all the bolts under the hood was rusted. Scared me off, I could of imagined the rust that was in other places. This Evo had been through a winter for sure.

one of my evos is nicknamed "rusty" the other is "leaky"

the rusty one has some serious undercarriage rust and alot of the suspension pick up points are starting to rust out.
