It depends on how you re-tune for it, and if your AFRs are on the leaner side, or richer side.

because of availability, I reversed washed mine and yes they get really grimmey

Well, the dealer told me $48+tax for the filter, so I PM'd mitsuorder. I hope I can get a better price shipped from him.

FYI it costs $38 if you have a "deal". Otherwise it's $50-55 for the OEM unit.

So is that what is causing the sulfur smell I get in my car? When I don't have the A/C on, I start to get this nasty sulfur, fart-like smell coming out of my vents. I'm hoping getting a new filter will fix this...

Tried to pick up a new one at the 'stealership' and they wanted almost $50. I ended up buying from JoeTLC.com as suggested in a previous post. After shipping, it came out to just over $23. That's a whole lot better if you ask me. I'm pretty scared to find what's lurking in my old filter...

That sulfur smell could be something in your filter. I recommend taking it out and simply doing a visual inspection. You might find your problem there, you might not.
