Someone mentioned it to me at our meet last week. so we took mine out of the car right there. So far my car has 54k miles, 8 rally x events, 11 Rally America, CRS, USRC events ( as a worker) and several other retarded off road adventures. I thought the blowers in these cars just sucked. however after dumping the pile of dirt out, i can actually feel air being blown on my face. To give you an idea, dirt/dust had completely filled the folds. when i pulled it out, it actually scraped some dirt down into the blower. LOL

The Charcoal filter is good. My g/fs car has a normal paper filter and when driving along I detect much less from the passing cars.

In her car we'd have to put it on recirc 95% of the time. Time to find a charcoal/purifier filter for her car

Finally got my air filter from JoeTLC.com. Don't know why but it took almost 3 weeks for me to get mine. They also never reply to emails but whatever, mine finally came. Anyway, did anyone else notice the fact that the arrow for air flow doesn't match the stock filter?

Top one is stock one, bottom one is from JoeTLC.

I did a little bit more in addition to this.

Start with a good old squash Air Spencer...

Take the actual smell-good thing and the double sided stickies that come with it and attach them as shown...

In the slot for the filter, you'll see the blower and a small "ledge" just in front of the blower on the right hand side. The Air Spencer cartridge is the perfect size for this spot.

You can imagine how good my air smells now.

I just got my JoeTLC filter. Due to its cheapness i wonder if its just a black paper filiment and not really carbon. Also, its not the arrow that is upside down. The arrow is correct, however, the tabs were incorrectly drilled. I had to drill an extra hole in the one mounting tab. (now i have 2 holes in each tab)
