DSLR Photography for beginner - How to shoot like a Pro.
good write up bro! - what equipment did you use btw? alienbeees?
Lighting is everything.
Just to prove that you don't NEED to buy lighting equipment... use the most powerful light source, THE SUN! Photoshop isn't needed either..
Canon 50D
135L
Shutter speed: 1/8000
Aperture: 2.8
ISO: 100

Hey guys, it's been a while since I updated you guys on my photography. Most of you guys are more familiar with my automotive photography work but in actuality, my core work is with fashion-portraits-design photography. I'm doing a campaign that involves launching my new website and facebook to showcase my photography - it would help me greatly if you have facebook and become a fan of Alvin Nguyen Photography.

I've done a lot of photoshoots for local models and car enthusiasts for no cost and I just want to get my name out there to start doing more pro stuff. I'll be featured on the Vietnamese Television network VHN-TV on the Nguyen Uy Long Talkshow later this month if you have that channel (I know there are a lot of Viet members on here
)
If you want to check out my work, please head over to my new site [please excuse the small amount of pictures since it was just launch last night!)

I am trying to teach my self HDR photography. Does anyone have three pics with different exposures I can borrow?
EDIT: My first attempt at HDR. How is it?

I know the clouds and some of the buildings are a little messed up but I think that is because of "Noise Reduction" in Photomatix.

This is an awesome thread! Now that some time has passed, are there any recommendations on new dslr cameras that are out now? Any suggestions to someone looking to get started with a dslr and also take some video?
