nice i love evo8 bumpers with a nose chop. Was thinking about ditching my evo9 bumper for an 8 Just to do a nose chop lol.

There wasnt alot posted on what was done to the top to make it stronger.

Resurrecting this thread...

just a question about the plastic you used to full the gap. The plastic you used was ABS, but I believe the oem bumper is made of polypropylene.To my knowledge I don't believe you can plastic weld these two materials together...how was the welding process?

My painter/panel beater says joining with epoxy is better nowadays compared to plastic welding.

Are you suggesting that Bondo is better than plastic welding for this job? Care to explain your reasoning?

No. Not bondo or body filler or bog as its also called depending where you're from.
I think its more like this 3M stuff:

and this reinforcement

you will also need a thin coat of bondo to get a perfect finish.

I will find out more to confirm.
