Well to start off i should tell alittle background for this car.. I originally drove a subaru but it got to the end of my n/a build and it never really got any faster so i sold it haha. So i then drive to NJ to look at this evo, and from the add the guy lied about alot of things, but i figured hell at 13250 with 60k miles it shouldnt be too bad, so i pick it up and bring it home and drive it alittle and about a month later the wiring goes to ****, i turn the car off and the lights and windshield wipers start turning on and stuff is shorting.. ohh great. so i take it to a mechanic and have him go ofver the entire wiring harness and found about 20 spots where the guy before had no idea what he was doing. Next goes the struts after 2 months. Next goes the rod bearings after 3 months.. by this time im wandering why i still have the car but none the less im keeping it, i love this car

Heres how i got the car. (Big cracks in front bumper from it not being mounted right, somehow he thought zipties would be the perfect fix for not buying the bumper mounting kit , oh and the carbon fiber over sized fenders that dont match and the worst carbon fiber spoiler oxidation ive ever seen in my life, gotta love that..)

Guy never bothered to hook up the gauges cause he liked flashy lights im guessing??? and best of all the gauge pod was fastened into the roof liner with drywall screws

Picture of it beside my subaru, by this time i was wishing i had kept the subaru with all the bull**** that was going wrong.

Car came apart for new bumper, fenders, new tires because the previous owners "like new tires" had 3"-4" dry rot slits the whole way around all the tires, and some bc coilovers

Sanded down and painted the carbon fiber, got an exhaust heat shield for the bumper, and a little shocker sticker

Finally found somebody to trade bumpers with

Sunset

Fenders and bumper on, fenders look a different color from the sunset but its actually all the same apex silver haha

Got some new goodies for christmas from my girlfriend

Mods on the car now:

Engine:
Injen intake
Injen intercooler pipes
Injen front mount intercooler
Hks ssq bov
3" Downpipe
Megan Racing resonated trackpipe
Hks hi power catback
Short shifter

Tires/Wheels:
Stock VIII Enkei
Kumho Ecsta AST

Interior/Exterior:
Pioneer dvd player
Carbon fiber exhaust shield

Future Mods:
Getting tuned at CBRD

Constructive criticism is welcome!

Very nice job what you're doing with it. I'm in that stage of Evo buying where i'm just now starting to look, its kind of a gamble lol in your situation which is kinda scaring me. I guess I just need to jump in and get my feet wet. How long were you looking before you decided to get this car?

thanks for the feedback guys!! i was looking into the cf front lip but im still working on the mechanical part of the car right now, i will deal with cosmetics later, but for now my main concern is getting a good daily driver car that is not going to break down on me and finish cleaning this thing up, if you guys saw it in person when i first got it you would be blown away that someone could ever do this to an evo..

I see you want a new radiator and you're getting tuned by CBRD. They make a great unit from what I hear. Maybe they will cut you a deal since you're local and getting tuned. Anyhow I'm glad you're starting to like the car more. Good luck with her!

Sweet conversion, that front bumper was horrible. Very pleased with the more stock appearance. Generator looks good and the stock fenders are much better also.

Not a bad purchase price, keep up the good work

Silver from one evo to the next is NEVER the same...it is the hardest paint to match. Paint will deviate from the factory depending on what day it is sprayed (because of fluctuating humidity, temperature, light exposure, paint/flake mixture, etc.). If it really bothers you, just respray the whole car, or blend the paint around the fenders. Thanks for rescuing the Evo from another idiot ricer!
