UPDATE!!!!

Hey everyone,

Well today i went to the track. Havent been back since the weekend i went 9.1. Its been awhile and since the shootout is right around the corner, i needed to get out there. Today was really hot. It was around 95 degrees It was really uncomfortable and we all tried to stay as cool as possible.

Today i wanted to make some solid passes and see what the car can do. Last time the car had traction issues and it was all over the place. Finally i got a aligment and Devin @ Boostin adjusted my whole suspension. Car came out a lot straighter. Top end car stayed striaght as well and i did not need to let out.

The best pass of the day was a 9.60@150. Trap speed was down a lot from 2 months ago. The last passes of the day i had break up issues and car getting locked out of 2nd at high RPM. It seems everytime i try to rev it to 9k and slam 2nd, i get locked out. If i ease it into 2nd gear it goes in fine. The only problem with that is it wont help me get the times i want. I might need to re freshin the clutch, or put fresh syncros in it. We will see what we decide this week. Overall it was fun to get back out there and launch the car. Now i know the car goes straight, its just a matter of the car going into gear at that RPM and hard shifting. I will keep everyone updated this week on what the plan of action is. I plan on getting out to the track 1 more time before the shootout. Stay tuned!

^ Jerry i sat in the Air Conditioning all night when i got home and i was still sweating from that day haha It was crazy, i think the next day were gunna have to go at night time on Friday or something. That pic is sick man, thanks for the shot I think the plan of action is to pull the trans and replace the synchros and freshin up the clutch. Then hopefully we will be good to go. Ill be back soon. Maybe next time ur beast will be out tearing up the track as well!

 

Yea my a/c compressor went bad on my Evo last week. I had to cruise home in the heat until I got home. Got home had a beer and relaxed in the a/c. I dont think Ill be ready to hit the track until some time in September. Hopefully it will be cool by then. Goal for this year is just to get into the 10s. Next year 9s. Hopefully I can make it out next time you go to the track.

 

So, what did you end up running or did you even run at all bro?

 

The compressor went bad on you!?? That must have been a hot ride home. It was still hot in the truck with to the AC blasting. September and October will be the best time to go to the track. It will be cooler outside! Ill let you know when the next track day is

Yea i updated everyone a few posts ago. Had lock out issues in 2nd gear at high RPM and break up issues a little also. It was really hot man, 95 degrees I still managed 9.60@150.7 Too hot to race, i was uncomfortable all day. I think were going to get back to the track Thursday night! At one of our local tracks they have a slick only night. Looks like its going to be no rain and a lot cooler then Sunday when it was 95 degrees lol. I believe Devin and the Red Demon will be there also. I wanna get one more track day in before i decide on what to do with the trans and clutch. This is the same track i went 9.1 I know i need to re fresh the clutch because of the lock out issues but im going to try 1 more day to see. Ill keep everyone updated!
