Hey Sean, i had talked to you last year about me starting my own project and just have some questions. one, im trying to do the evo 6 instead of your 5, and do you know if everything is interchangeable between the 5 and 6? im basing everything pretty much off of your thread and some of my own knowledge. I'd like to start my own thread as well here soon and wouldn't mind some input from anyone that knows about this swap. Thanks.

The trunk pan was spot amd stitch welded when installed. Everything was sealed on with seam sealer. I haven't gotten it weighed yet but I imagina it's similar weight as an evo5 RS. I removed all the sound deadening tar on the car. The front LSD is from an evo 5 RS and the rear is evo8 stock USDM LSD.

I don't see why not. Just make sure you box in the subframe once you notch it.

Meaning don't leave the subframe open. Box is always stronger than a flat piece of metal. The 6 ecu is fully capable and has full tuning capabilities but won't pass obd2 emissions testing like the 8 ecu will. Always will require repinning if you use a 4 or 5 harness

Well seems how you just joined this month and I started this project over a year ago it would have been impossible to buy a car that wasn't listed for sale. Is this the silver evo6 that Sierra motorsports bought and later had their shop raided? Previously owned by 1nastymr on here that scammed a bunch of members? Your pictures aren't working. If so, you couldn't give that car to me.

Thanks for the bump

You know of any reasons why I would have to do an emissions test? Cause I probably won't worry about it otherwise

Emissions is dependent on your county. My county requires emissions testing every 2 years.

Pending sale. Non-refundable deposit accepted yesterday and the car will be held for 3 weeks for the potential buyer. I will update this post with the outcome.
