Does anyone know how to disassemble the rear tailights on the evo 8 so I could give it the black out look? I looked at the lights and it seems like you would need to break the glue seel surrounding the lense. Also does anyone have a pic of a black evo 8 with blacked out lenses?

Painted headlights?

After seeing pics of the Sparco EVO I definitely want to do it. Its a pretty simple and common thing with the stock wrx lamps, so I was wondering if anyone has done it to their EVO yet. If so any tips about doing it right?

Anyway I too would love to get my headlights blacked out like the MR evo or the sparco evo. If anyone has any leads count me in.

Heres some pics of the results from the Sparco EVO....they had them professionally painted although I think it would be easy enough to do it yourself.......

you can probably do them like everyone does the eclipse lights.
put the headlight in the oven at 200 degrees for about 15mins or until they pull apart... clean up residue, remove insert, paint, reinsert after it dries silicone it up so it doesn't leak and reinstall....
that is the way i did my 98 eclipse lights

I am afraid it would not seal well enough. Any suggestions when sealing it?

you put them on the lowest setting 150-200 degrees..... the horror stories you here is people putting the oven at 350 plus.....
doing them at low temp will not ruin them.... i'v done two sets already one on my car and one on my boys and neither leak as long as you use silicone and do them up right.... and i also have hid's in mine.....

I think it would look so much better if only the back of the housing was black and the front part was still chrome. Like a sticker over the lamps and nothing else.
