Getting the Evo back into action
So last fall/ winter I had decided i wanted to try and sell the Evo and pursue some other things, Nobody was really interesting in the car for a reasonable price it was just lowball to the moon so finally I decided to just keep it ive already had the car for 3+ years and taken it from stock to mildly built and loved every second of it.
Last summer after i built the motor my stupid HKS GTII 7460R turbo blew (was only on the car for 8months... some Ball bearing unit that was...) so I started trying to finish up my never ending project where I left off which was in need of a turbo since that stupid HKS one blew and HKS is about as helpful as a mentally disabled Ostrich.
So going in the car this week -
Rebuilt/ upgraded Tcase from Jacks Transmissions
RPS Carbon Carbon Twin disk clutch
and last but not least,
FP 71HTA turbo (has the 84mm cover, ported and coated hotside, Forge wastegate actuator with the preload cranked way down)
This turbo flows 51lbs per min, which makes it a direct competitor to the BBK Full, the HTA Green flows 54lbs per min so this is just a little below that.
These turbos have shown excellent spool extremely close to stock and have made upper 4xx's on e85. So im just continuing with my build style of fast spool and decent power.
MOD LIST (stuff that matters)
Drop in built 2.0 10.5:1 CR
GSC S2's with MAP Springs
Double pumper
FIC 1450's
FUll bolt ons
E85 tune by Phuong @ WingzPerformance
Granted its summer in AZ and 100+ degrees Im not expecting crazy results, Ill just keep it @ 30psi and see what it makes.

Since I thought I was selling it I swapped wheels with a friend, I used to have awesome looking Gold G-Forces. but these are how it sits and it looks alright in my opinion not my favorite but whatever.

Glad you decided to keep it. I still remember that hellacious hail storm
.
And yes, HKS parts are garbage; so you're not the only one with bad experiences. Right now I have some HKS coilovers that clunk and I don't know why.
Can't wait to see the results.
