the car was designed with the CF wing, and the evo is known through the past for it's massive rear spoilers.

CF wing......that just screams EVO. and if you dont like that attention you should not buy an EVO. And CF wing IS funtional.....80+mph

IMO the CF wing is the way to go.

there's a guy who lives right by me with a blue evo and small wing...everytime i see it i always think it's a lancer...(from the backend)..it just doesn't look right...so go big!

a lot of people have a problem with the low profile wing, but thats their problem, i don't really give a flying **** what other marks think of my car. installing a new/used/aftermarket/jdm cf wing is always an easy option. but the best part is breaking some bmw/truck/mustang driver because they thought it was lancer oz.

I have to vote for the CF wing. As others have said, it is the Evo trademark. All Evos have had them, kind of like the car's calling card. Plus, the Evo has a long nose, and the wing helps balance the look. If you have to, the no wing look is better than the OZ look, but that is just my opinion.

The CF is a trademark, but if you want the low profile then go that way. Either way it still screams!!!!!! EVO!

CF wing...or no wing at all...I have not actually lifted the trunk on an Evo with the smaller wing, but I can tell you that the CF wing on my Evo weighs a whole heck of alot less than any low profile wing I've ever had on previous cars...

I am from Monterey Park too!!! I absolutely know what you are talking about. Alhambra area is a rice magnet! Where are you getting your EVO?? Curiously enough, I don't see that many EVOs, even fewer STIs. You would expect more at the center of riceland, but not that many....so far, I have only seen a blue with white 5-spoke Enkiel rims, a red one and a white one, plus a black STI.
