Wingless Evo's/Evo's Without Wings | Anything and Everything [ALL THREADS MERGED]
D for me! I would have left it alone if I wasn't in a crash (rear ended by a freaking pickup truck!) but since it was in the shop anyway I went with the low wing and no center post.
I may have them not put the badge on as well.....car should be done in a week!

Quite honestly, I've not yet found a spoiler I like. Mine came with the CF spoiler and I'd love to tone it down. The OZ spoiler looks awkward and all the rest are ... even worse!
Of course, this is only my opinion...

the cf wing just makes the car. It has additude. It says I'am bad azz car just look at me. I demand respect!!! And that half the fun of owning the car. Hell I had an 75 year old lady flag me down at a light just so she could tell me how nice my car was. lol
go with the cf wing. A big wing is part of the fun and so is the attention is attracts
plus don't forget it's aerodynamic properties - I had an Accord Type R when I lived in the UK, which also had a big rear wing. The local police bought some as sleepers for motorway traffic enforcement. At first they took the wings off, to be more discrete, but they found the cars were unstable at high speed and so they quickly stuck them back on...

No wing. The first thing I did after driving home from the dealer was to take the wing off. Does it look plain? Maybe, but I like it. I don’t care that no one knows my car is not a plain Jane Lancer. But, the people that’s knowledgeable about cars recognize it immediately. The new RS model does not have a wing, either.
Wingless Rally Red
After much debate, I chose to eliminate the carbon fiber wing from my Rally Red Evo. A body shop took the wing off, welded the holes, filled them, and repainted the trunk lid. I'm pleased with how well it came out. If I change my mind or wish to resell the car, I can alway redrill the holes and remount the wing. Driving it around for a month, I've noticed a dramatic decrease in the number of stares I get from the general population, as well as the negative glare of local law enforcement. The visibility is much better too, with nothing to block the view of cars behind me.
I know lots of people don't believe that an Evo is an Evo without the wing, but I want to say that I think the car still looks great and I'm enjoying the lower-key profile.
