i saw a pic of a yellow evo and blue subie racing down the road...

the subie looked funny w/out the wing.

i think the evo looks 'ok' w/out a wing.

but i def. won't put an Evo wing on my Lancer...i don't like it THAT much. im goin CF GT wing haha

and i applaude the fact that right now is 11-9 in favor Evo...and its an Evo forum and ur all not flaming and ur getting along nicely...try that in those v8 forums...lol my g/f has a mustang and i read a thread where everyone flamed the Evo because it beat a Cobra and they were all "its a ricer" "huge wing" and about 2 of the 20 people in the thread showed respect that its pushing 271 hp stock etc....i just laugh at the v8 people....even though i want a 98 Camaro SS

 

The EVO doesn't look cheap without the wing..... just naked

evo w/o a wing look nasty...wit the low profile wing...nasty...only way to go is wit the carbon fiber wing...sti wit no wing...haven't seen one yet...but i would guess it will look nasty as well

 

you could remove the hood scoop by adding a frount mount intercooler, but why all the hassle.....

 

I like the wing..well....I rather have the C-West wing instead. One comment....how come I don't see alot of WRX Sti, just Wrxs. Did they just take out the Sti markings so no one will know?

 

I doubt you're seeing a bunch without wings (STi's that is).

The Brembos, hood scoop (bird catcher) and fog light covers are pretty obvious, unless your across a 6 lane hiway. Here in the NE I'm seeing about the same number of EVOs as STis but they are bringing in less STis, so I guess some places are getting less.

I personally think that the wing is essential on the EVO! It looks a little timid without the wing. The car has such a naturally agressive stance, it really requires the wing for complete symmetry.. I can certainly understand the desire to cut back on ricer appeal and cop troubles. I definetly notice that the ricers love to be obnoxious all over our *** when they see us. Hey, they're excited! I usually just look at them and laugh! I"m not going to waste my time and gas showing up a honda civic with only visual mods, a mustang however? ..its on! I love to show up the V8s.

 

whoa looks werid with out the wing. But yea i see the evo needs the wing to look good. thats what it has always been known for. but lets say u had a carbon fiber trunk, i think it might look good with the wing off. And the sti with the spoiler does take sum time to get used to. It looks kind of strange with it.

 

You incorrectly used "it's" as a possessive pronoun. Nonetheless, the Evo looks best w/wing but doesn't look "cheap" w/o.

Should have went the carbon fiber trunk route. That way you can have the trunk with the wing still on it and set aside. I mean the amount u paid your half way too a carbon fiber trunk.
