Did you mean "meant"? btw, my response was in reference to Conduit's post.

Nah -- I'm not a big fan of the carbon fiber look. An alternative would have been to find a stock Lancer trunk and have it painted to match and mounted. Around $375, plus painting costs.

I think evo 542 said it perfectly. Both cars look fine without the wing, but the evo really is naked without one. plus, many subie owners are jealous of the CF insert, where as they have all fiberglass. If you are going to stay wing less and not modify, get an STi, it's a hell of a car. But, if your goin the route of modding, go Evo, but just get the wing. If you don't like it after a while, you can easily fix the holes with a shop and keep the wing until you plan on selling the car. Thats my .02$.

Awesome. I am glad to hear that you had the holes welded. How much to have all the work properly done?

Wingless White

I too like the wingless look. The big wing weighs 7.2lbs. Here is a place to buy the small spoiler:

Wingless Weightless White looks very sharp there, Darkstar1. The ultimate in stealth. Thanks for sharing.

It's hard to say exactly, as it was negotiated as part of the deal on December 31. I had just made up my mind on getting an Evo, and I wanted to take advantage of dealer incentives to get it off their lot before the end of the year (inventory taxes, sales quotas, etc.). Using what Edmunds says is dealer invoice, I would say they charged me around $200 to $300 for the bodyshop work. I'm pretty pleased at how it turned out.

Yeah, I like the stealth and I think the car has nice lines that are interrupted by the "boy-racer" wing. Yours looks great! -John

the evo wing is a bit to big for MY taste. but i do think it look good on the evo and it serves a purpose other than cosmetics. the black evo pic posted looks good without the wing but i cant say that for other color, but thats just my 2cents.

BTW, where has eveyone been spotting wingless STIs at(dont say online cuz anyone can photoshop you one in a second) i have never seen one in person. the wing doesnt match the car anyway. it looks out of place like a supra wing on a civic
