It's going along well, although as you can tell, rather slowly. We are still working on the lighting issues and will let everyone know as soon as we're ready. I'm still waiting on some lighting parts (more EL wire, inverters, stock gauge bulbs, etc.)

The reason why it is taking so long, is that we want to get the simplest/effective install possible, and don't want to ship anything out that we wouldn't be happy buying ourselves.

Hang on, it will be worth it.

That's completely understandable. No point in rushing a definite great product and having it turn out to be garbage. Taking it slow the first time around and working out all the kinks is great. I commend you guys for not rushing yourselves...good work and I can't wait to see the final product

I ran some tests yesterday using a High Briteness, thick EL Wire and new inverter (the old one had a very annoying high pitched buz). As Combat assumed the EL wiring does not light up the needles, so one will still have to use the stock bulbs. I was able to hook it up where as the stock lighting dims the EL lighting gets brighter, but I'm not completely happy with that either. I'm still trying to figure out a way to get them to brighten and dim together. I did find a better solution to the coloring, now we just need to find a place to order that from, it provides a much more consistant and clearer coloring effect. Starting next month, I will have more time to devote to this, I've been in the process of an intermediate move and have been working 60 - 70 hours a week at work, which doesn't leave much time for side projects. Thanks again for everyones patience.

I'm still stoked on how this is going to turn out I'll keep on the lookout for anything I think might help.

This picture is with the stock bulbs right? The only method I could think of is slapping on some resistors on before the LEDs so that they are dimmed enough to light up the needle and not have too much effect on the coloring of the gauges....that ventures into advanced installation however. There's gotta be a way! I will not rest until this is solved...OK I will, but I'll think about it a lot.

Yes, that picture is with the stock bulbs with the blue condoms taken off, so they are brighter than stock. I talked with an electrical engineer over the weekend and he gave me some ideas on the wiring, which I will try this weekend when I'm home. (I work away from home during the week and don't get home every weekend, which is one of the reasons this is taking so long).

Once we get the coloring issue sorted, which should be soon, then those that just want to use the stock lighting we can start selling those. Those that want what looks like it will be a combination of stock and EL wire lighting will have to wait until that part is sorted out.

Ugh, I wish I lived closer to one of you guys so I could check out the cluster in person and see if I could offer some help haha. I'm going to try and keep throwing out ideas. This is frustrating enough for me that I can't come up with anything, you guys must be annoyed up to the wazoo

Now if we can get the backlights to be RGB adjustable to match my Omori gauges .... ... seriously, anyone have any ideas on how to do this? Maybe run RGB bulbs with a separate controller?
