Hey, i got the matrix 3 alarm which is the older version of the 3.5 and love it. The other night someone bumped my car while i was in my apartment so i couldnt hear the actual alarm but my key chain went off so i came out running. The range isnt to far but whats the purpose of having a 10mile radius, cause if youre that far than your not gonna stop your car from being stolen? Also the actual alarm is like $150 but the labor is what costs so much.

can someone explain the burning a spare key concept. i was at the dealer and they were saying for remote start and turbo timeryou need to burn a key, does this mean there's no more imobilizer? why do you need to burn a key? i know the car is posta shut off if there's no key, but what does burning a key mean? or do.

It means they install a transponder in your car, and the spare key needs to be with that transponer for the car to remote start. Yes, this will yield your imobilizer innefective. I have the Clifford RS 3.5 and like it, but I have not installed the remote-start feature yet.

ah.... that's how they fix that, so they don't remove it, they just render it useless by always having the key near.

Ravelco - quick sophisticated install, simple, but very effective, product to cost to security ratio = well worth the money....just my thought on that issue.
