E-Brake Light Stays On Sometimes?

sometimes when i drive my car the E-Brake light on the gauge cluster stays on. sometimes it'll randomly turn on while i'm driving and then turn off later on. it doesnt do anything bad to the car, i just think it's annoying. does anyone know what the problem could be?

Check out your pads, if they look okay then top off the brake fluid. Happened to me not too long ago.

How many miles on stock pads? Let me guess...22,000 miles? Most likely you need to change your brake pads. Same thing happened to me.

i checked my pads when i installed my springs not too long ago and they're fine. i just had to top off the fluid. but to be honest with you, i dont know how many miles are on these pads. i bought the car used at 30k miles and now i'm at 35.5k. i dont remember if the previous owner said he replaced the pads or not. i know the brake pads on my last Evo IX only lasted about 18-20k miles.
