what do you guys think??

so i have my calipers at the powder coaters and they are up in the air of whether or not they want to do them. their concern is the inner seals on the pistons, because after they coat them they bake em at about 400-425 degrees for about an hour. do you think theyll be safe or should i not take my chances? thanks

adam

Most powdercoaters with chemically dip the part to clean them up and sandblast the part to clean them off. The chemicals are very strong and could possibly destroy the rubber seals. Better safe them sorry here boys.

Well, it only takes 2 minutes to pull those sqaure cut seals out so those COULD be saved but i replaced them all in mine. So i would do it properly and replace them all. Those chemicals that chu mentions WOULD DEF eat the rubber away. Hell, the stuff we are going to play around with can eat the aluminum away in about an hour. So yea, they have to be taken out either way.
