Help tired of squeaking brakes/ need input
I know I know caps is a bit much
i bought my white evo a few years ago. stock brakes and they would squeak occasionally. so we changed them over to stop tech pads and power slot rotors. they still squeaked from time to time and was worse than stock.
i spoke to stop tech about the issue and they ASSURED me it was isolated.
so we bought a new set of pads and rotors BIG MISTAKE, there is no spot when applying pressure to the pedal that does not sound like puppies being burned alive. there is no reason to drive it. it is miserable.
so i need new pads and rotors. I would like everyones input. i don't want to braak the bank on them.
the car only has basic bolt ons and does not see ANY track time. the occasional spirited driving but nothing crazy.
I've looked at gem, ebc at this point but I'm only after something that WILL NOT SQUEAK!!!!

My recipe for the street is Stop Tech pads & Centric rotors. Make sure you bed them in correctly & should be squeak free
Ensure the angled OEM shims are being used!!! Without those rear shims, my rears howled something awful. (the angled shims are the trick IMO)

Use OEM shims. Pull the offending pads, clean and regrease, Use wheel bearing multi purpose grease between shim and pad, on the shim where contacted by the piston and where the pad contacts the calliper.

I have hawk pads. No noise. Front and rear. Original hardware. I resurfaced my drilled/slotted rotors twice already. Only issue is they grind when stopping over 130 mph after a hard pull.
